Hello and Welcome
Welcome to Writers Lake! My name is Alba and I am writing this blog for all writers. I have been writing all my life and a few years ago wrote my first poetry manuscript. Since then I have been learning a lot about my own creativity, about the different ways of polishing my work, what routes to take to get it published and more and more about poetry writing today. Writing is a solitary activity -- and I have been craving a community. I want to build that community of writers and poets online so that we can share ideas, create solutions for what keeps us from doing what we love, to support each other and to see our work take off to the next level (whatever your next level may be.) And most of all, I want Writers Lake to be fun. That's why I called it Writers Lake. So, whatever it is you'd like to write or are writing now, let's begin, together.

Thanks so much, Nicole! I hope you are writing a lot these days -- the world needs your gifts! (And she calls me Maria because that was what I went by when we sat next to each other in first grade!)
