Happy Bring a Book to Bed Day!
It's cold, it's gray, and it's rainy here in Brooklyn -- in other words, perfect weather for the very first Bring a Book to Bed Day! I finished having breakfast, fed the cat, and in just a few, I'll be getting back into bed with my book. I am all set for Eat, Pray, Love
(but I am also feeling the need for a little poetry, so The Selected Poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke
translated by Stephen Mitchell and Kazim Ali's The Far Mosque
are standing by.)
I hope you all enjoy your day and do send photos of your celebration to me at alba@writerslake.com. Remember to send along a small/medium size photo including your first name, location, book you are reading and who, if anyone, recommended it to you. I'll be accepting photos until February 29, 2008 -- and then will announce the winners the first week of March. The prizes are great -- so good luck! And happy holiday!

thanks, Alba, for the link to Kazim Ali's The Far Mosque. There I read his poem about the vase and tow threads. Ah! beautiful. Happy Bring a Book to Bed Day! Enjoy, Jeanne
