Book of the Weekend -- March 21, 2008

Those of you who know me know that I have been on a 'meditation journey' since last fall. The changes that meditation has brought into my life have been incredible -- and I can't say enough about it. I keep recommending it to all my friends -- and that's why I am recommending Jack Kornfield's book, "After the Ecstasy, the Laundry" as Spring's first Book of the Weekend. Even after you taste the deliciousness of enlightenment, there still is -- and always will be -- plenty of housework to do. And what a great break from spring cleaning!

This is one of my favorite books about Buddhism, meditation, living mindfully. Great recommendation, Alba!

My mindfulness must have been elsewhere when I wrote the post and didn't include your name, Jeanne. You, my dearest, were the inspiration for this choice -- as you are to me in the way that you live so mindfully, with purpose and love! Much love and many thanks, Alba
